Course Description:
Are you using educational technology in your classroom? Is it effective? Is it impacting student achievement? Is your instruction delivered to support higher order thinking? Do you wish you could find ways to facilitate critical thinking activities while using EdTech? If so, this course is for you!

The purpose of this course is to introduce teachers to using technology to incorporate critical thinking activities in the classroom. Teachers will learn about effective critical thinking activities, create their own critical thinking activities aligned to their content, and finally, create lesson plans that include critical thinking activities using educational technology.


Credit: 2 graduate credit hours

This 2-credit, 4-week course is entirely self-paced. Participants who sign up by Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. will be granted access at 8 a.m. the Sunday following that Wednesday and will finish the course on a Sunday by 11:59 p.m. after the four weeks has concluded. If participants sign up after 4:00 p.m. on a Wednesday, they may not be granted access to the course until a week from the Sunday that follows their registration. The instructor will email with instructions on how to begin the class. All assignments, discussions, and final project work are due at end of the 4-week course in order to receive credit for the course. The participant should expect to receive a transcript for graduate credit 3-4 weeks after the course is completed. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE END OF THE COURSE TO TRY TO COMPLETE EVERYTHING.

 The last day to register is Nov. 20, 2019.
